Gerzain Figueroa

GERZAIN FIGUEROA, PRESIDENT

Gerzain Figueroa’s extensive knowledge of traffic signal and pavement delineation design includes the design of temporary and ultimate traffic signals for 25 intersections for the Metro Exposition Light Rail project in the City of Los Angeles. He is leading the QA/QC of all temporary and ultimate traffic signal plans for the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project. His depth of experience in traffic engineering design and management projects for various agencies includes the cities of Los Angeles, Pasadena, and Long Beach, Los Angeles County, and Caltrans.

 

NOAH BUSCH, PE.,SENIOR ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT

Noah Busch is a Senior Associate Vice President and also serves as the Director of Engineering for V&A, Inc. Mr. Busch received his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Long Beach State University. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in California, Nevada and Utah. Mr. Busch has more than 16 years of professional experience in several areas of Civil Engineering. His vast experience ranges from Hillside Land Development Projects in Lake Las Vegas to Port Terminal Redevelopment Projects in the Port of Long Beach to Roadway and Traffic Improvements as part of the LA Metro Crenshaw LRT Design-Build Project. In his recent past, he was involved in managing the Pier G Terminal Redevelopment Project at the Port of Long Beach. He also has experience in Utility Engineering and Construction Management. His current project involvement includes the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor Project, where he is overseeing all Roadway, Drainage and Traffic Design within the City of Los Angeles and City of Inglewood

 

 

MIGUEL ANGEL GAYTAN II, T.E. LEAD TRAFFIC ENGINEER

Angel Gaytan, TE is V&A, Inc.’s Lead Traffic Engineer. His expertise includes traffic engineering design, traffic control and signal plans for impacts caused by construction projects, as well as analyses and mitigations for impacts due to construction staging. He also prepares traffic impact studies that assess the existing and projected full-build impact of developments. Angel works closely with public works agencies such as LADOT, City Council Districts, and Caltrans. He is leading the QA/QC process for traffic control on the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Project. He also played a key role in the coordination, preparation, review and implementation of the Mulholland Drive Bridge TMP, which resulted in a smooth, remarkably uneventful “Carmageddon I” in the summer of 2011, and “Carmageddon II” in 2012.

 

 

 

JOSE VALLE, CEO

Jose Valle is a leader in the world of design-build infrastructure projects. He is recognized throughout the industry as an expert on large and complex roadway, traffic, infrastructure, transit, and third-party coordination projects. He inspires his team members to produce quality deliverables and to stay focused on the schedule. Recently, Jose served as Third-Party Coordinator for the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project, managing 60-person meetings with members from LABOE, LADOT, LABSL, LABSS, LADWP, LA County, Metro, and Caltrans. In a recent Design-Build Team award for excellence on the I-405 project, the awarding officer stated: “Jose Valle is a ‘no-nonsense’ results driven leader whose commitment to quality and schedule are unmatched.”

 

 

DANNY PELEN, P.E. VICE PRESIDENT

Danny Pelen, PE brings more than 20 years of professional roadway, highway, and rail design experience to the V&A, Inc. team. He works closely with client and engineering team members to solve complex design challenges, such as highway horizontal and vertical alignment, rail alignment and yards, siding layout, TPSS site grading, highway super-elevation calculations, earthwork computation, pavement rehabilitation, utility horizontal and vertical realignment, freeway ramps and connectors, and incorporation of ADA criteria. Danny has collaborated extensively with government agencies, such as Caltrans and the City of Los Angeles, in the preparation of plans and quantities.

 

 

 

RAVI PUDIPEDDI, P.E., T.E. LEAD CIVIL ENGINEER

Ravi Pudipeddi, PE, TE leads V&A, Inc.’s projects as the firm’s Lead Civil Engineer. He brings a depth of experience designing street improvement plans for public works projects throughout the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, and Riverside County. Ravi’s technical expertise includes roadway plans, off-site and on-site water systems and sanitary sewer systems with demand and pipe sizing calculations for developments for various water districts, traffic studies for the Riverside County Transportation Department, as well as street lighting plans, sediment and erosion control plans, signing and striping plans, and proposed Best Management Practices (BMPs) for various developments..
