Division 16: Southwestern Yard Facility

The Division 16: Southwestern Yard Maintenance and Operations Facility project includes re-development of an 18-acre site from demolition of the existing buildings and facilities to construction of a light rail maintenance yard. The facility is designed, constructed, and equipped to perform service and inspection, heavy repairs, blow-down, body repairs, painting, storage, cleaning, and washing of light-rail vehicles (LRV) in the Metro fleet. In addition, the facility will house general administration, support services, and equipment housing .The maintenance yard will serve the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Line.
As a subconsultant, V&A Inc’s specific responsibilities include; managing the preparation of grading, striping, signing, roadway, traffic, lighting, storm drain, sewer and water plans for the development of the site. Additionally, Construction Support task is provided. This includes responding to questions and RFI’s related to the civil, drainage, utility and traffic design scope.
