K-Line “Crenshaw/LAX” Transit Corridor – Phase 1

The Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor Design-Build Project is an 8.5-mile light-rail line that will travel between the Expo Line at Exposition Boulevard/Crenshaw Boulevard through the cities of Los Angeles and Inglewood to the Metro Green Line at Imperial Highway/Aviation Boulevard. The project will serve the cities of Los Angeles, Inglewood and El Segundo with eight stations, a maintenance facility, park-ride lots, and traction power substations.

As a subconsultant, V&A, Inc. is responsible for providing professional engineering services including; roadway design, roadway drainage design, station civil design, park and ride civil design, and traffic engineering design. Additionally, V&A, Inc. is responsible for the preparation of the corridor-wide Transportation Management Plan. V&A, Inc’s traffic engineering scope includes leading the effort for design and approval of temporary and restoration traffic signals, temporary and restoration street lighting, restoration signing and striping, and worksite traffic control plans. V&A, Inc. is also responsible for third party coordination and is working with LABOE, LADOT, LABSL, LABSS, the city of Inglewood, the city of El Segundo, LAWA, Los Angeles County, and other various agencies through the design review and approval process.
